I just thought I'd give some extra information, in case you're interested :-)
I've chosen four fandoms that I love, so I hope you'll love them as much as I do.
1. Ultimate Spider-Man. I utterly and absolutely adore Peter Parker, and though I hate that he's dead, I did love the way they let him die a hero and then gave him the funeral worthy of one. And I love the kid who's his successor so far.
Though of course I'd be much much happier if we got to have Miles while keeping Peter*g*
If you're rather canon compliant, that's ok too, would love to see Miles interact with Peter's family and learning about Peter
2. Hesitated a bit about putting in Spider-Man, because much as I love Spidey, I've hated pretty much everything done to the title in the past four years. Please pretty please, utterly ignore anything to do with OMD and BND, I hate those storylines with the passion of a burning sun. (no char bashing though,)
Anything to do with a still married Peter dealing with the current status quo would be awesome, but I'd especially love you if you did something with the unmasking.
Marvel pretty much had this major event happen to Peter and then utterly and completely ignored it,using it as little more than an excuse to destroy the title with One More Day.
Even though I couldn't mention them in the character sign ups, I'd love to see Robbie and Randy Robertson, Joy Mercado, Flash Thompson and so on... love the supporting cast.
3. Dexter, well this is pretty much the best written show on television as far as I'm concerned. And I must admit that this has hooked me on wanting to see the one thing the show won't deal with until the final season.
Aka what happens after Dexter's found out, what would people think of him, how would his friends react, hell how would his sister react...
4. As for the Walking Dead, I tried to add Carl, but unfortunately I didn't think to nominate him, I guess I figured he's so obvious, that I didn't think that no one else would nominate him either...*grumble*
Anyway, focus on the survivors as people would be preferred, Dealing with the horror they're faced with, things like that.
In general, I'd love to see more poc used in shows as well as fandom, so a focus on poc or women, who also are often ignored, would be great.I prefer gen fics, though I don't mind either slash or het. I love stories focusing on family, both the ones you're born into and the ones you make.
I love crossovers, and angst and well loads of things.
The only thing I can't stand is losers, I'm a huge fan of competence in a character and one of my major turn offs in BND is that they turned Peter Parker into a loser. I love underdogs, but I utterly despise losers.
Wishing you loads of fun,
