Marvel Divas - Me myself and I
It's all about me
Marvel Divas
I just read the first issue of this and I have to say, the damn thing had maybe one or two pages worth reading.

Do they really think this is what women want to read? Seriously?

Where's the asskicking? Where's the bad guys? Where's the bits about life as a woman that isn't about dating men or wanting to date men or you know ... men...

I have to say that the only bit in this whole thing that was worth anything was the last page and even then...

Umm... here's me kinda loving it *hides*

I agree, I do hope there's more ass kicking, and such, and I think that's coming (I hope... otherwise, I agree with you), but I kind of like the idea that superheroines have gal pals to sit around and dish with. *blush*

... I also want to see the old FF/Avengers poker nights come back, but that could just be me.

But then, I've always enjoyed those not-superhero superhero moments. I don't know. Maybe it is just me being a stupid "stereotype" girl. *hudes again*

I like the not-superhero superhero moments, but I like them spaced out among the superhero moments! I liked the poker nights, too, and X-Men baseball.

What really got to me was not that they were sitting around talking, but that they were sitting around bitching about other women for being more famous (wtf, they're superheroes, not pop stars!) and then just talked about men. But I'm glad that someone got something fun out of it!

I hadn't realized Marvel Divas had come out. Read it, was pretty damn disgusted.

I have a panel on Female Superheroes tonight at the con I'm going to. Thanks for giving me some fresh ammunition!
