well some new development at work.
[personal stuff]Over the past two years or so I've pretty much had the supervisor from hell.
I'm a cleaning woman, so I don't see my supervisor, aka inspection, all that often, but every time I hear from her, it's something negative, even when she doesn't have something immediately negative to say, she'll just look at you like she wants to say something negative and then leave without saying a word about whether things are fine or not.
She's taken away two of my posts, leaving me with only my morning post, which is not nearly enough hours. Thankfully my pay is added on to by unemployment (paid by the union), but that'll only last a few more months before I could lose it.
She once let me go on a tour with someone from the mobile team, whom she basically told that i was in my last chance, already putting her in a mood against me from the start. As such the entire evening I spent with this woman, was her tearing apart every little thing I said or did. If I asked what to do, she'd be pissed off, if I didn't ask what to do, same response, if I tried to start on something along with her, if I didn't....
you get the idea. And naturally before the day was over, she basically told inspection she didn't want to work with me, resulting in me not geting the extra hours that week, that I would have had otherwise. Not going to say I did everything perfect, but I'm sorry that I missed one small carbage can in an entire office building that I'd never in my life been at before....
Let's just put it this way, it was worth losing the money, not to have to work with hat woman again.
Anyway, as a result, despite promises otherwise, I still haven't gotten a new post anywhere else.
Basically this supervisor has had a thing against me since Agrifirm, a firm I worked at for Ariel for over a year. Ariel lost the post, according to the people from the firm because of the way inspection handled things. (inspection of course blamed me)
Anyway, things have gotten intensively worse, and I'm sure that if my supervisor could find an excuse she'd fire me in a heartbeat.
Only today, another supervisor/member of inspection showed up at the post. Seems like she's taking over the post, meaning I will no longer have to work with the woman I worked for before. I can't begin to say what a relief this is.
I mean, Both of them are going to come by in the next week. so the old one can tell the one one what has to be done at the post, but after that.... she's gone.
I practically cried just thinking about the past year when I was talking about the issues I've had with this woman.
For those wondering, no, it's not that this new inspection is less strict. In contrary actually. I've had this woman before, on other posts, and she is firm, expects everything to be done right and will check up on you if she's not happy.
But... she's also the best inspection my firm has.
She's someone you can talk to about issues you have at a post, and when you need something, she's approachable, something I cannot say of the woman I had for the past two years. She'll tell you when things are wrong, but she won't tear you down over it. And at least she'll also say something if things are fine.
So even if my former supervisor told her she wasn't happy with my work, at least i have a chance to prove myself to the new one, and hopefully she won't find anything to complain about.
